Roger Cruz


Roger began to work with comics and lettering comic books in the 80's in Brazil.
At that time, he also wrote and illustrated short experimental stories printed by small Publishers in Sao Paulo.

He began to work for American Publishers in the 90's.
Roger was the first Brazilian artist to draw for Marvel Comics and also the first Brazilian to draw X-Men, Marvel's record selling title. He drew X-Men Alpha in 1995, the highest selling title of that year in the USA.
In the almost twenty years of his career, Roger worked for big American Publishers and drew titles such as X-Men, X-Men Alpha, X-Men Omega, Generation X, X-Man, X-Factor, X-Patrol, Magneto, X-Men First Class, Alpha Flight, Darkness, 10th Muse, Araña, Youngblood, Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, Ghost Rider, Hulk, Huntress, American Vampire, among many others.

In 2010, Roger published the XAMPU-Lovely Losers graphic novel in Brazil, his first authored work, which was nominated for the HQMIX Brazilian Award in three categories: Best Album, Best Writer and Best Artist.

In 2011, 2012 and 2013, he published the albums Nudes in Fury, Roger Cruz Artbook vol. 1 and Sketchbook Experience Roger Cruz.

In 2014, he created and wrote the acclaimed comic book Quaisqualigundum.
